Got it working. Shifts a bit erratic at some different speeds, I need to back off the throttle a bit then it shifts. Kind of like a manual with overdrive.

Raman and rotowrench you are correct. It only shifts once unless you drop down to low gear at takeoff. Problem is starting out in drive it won't shift. We have reworked governor and throttle with...

Replying to previous comments. I would like to do some touring with the car so an auto overdrive would be the answer. I drove the car into the guys shop over a month ago. It was not shifting well...
