Re: Bench test Vacuum on fuel pump

My advice would be to send the pump to CharlieNY. Once it comes back from Charlie, it's A-OK and ready for modern fuel.

Re: Need a source for '34 pitman arm for Heims

Re: Electric fan over a belted fan

Bobby Green of Old Crow Speed Shop took 1/2 of the metal blade guard from an old fashion house fan to make a "cover" for an electric fan. That simple addition made it look old timey. I thought it...

Re: Upholstery Question

Re: Hershey?

As of today, it is still on. Hershey Park is open. Let's hope the vaccine continues to roll out and provides effective coverage for all who choose to receive it.

Hershey AACA cashed my check...

Re: Upholstery Question

I bought a used LB kit for my Model A from a Ford Barn member. The fronts were leather and rumble was vinyl. The vinyl was of poor quality and a royal pain in the neck to install.

Re: Synthetic Oil?

Haha. It was trying to do a play on words with comments about the level being on the level.

Re: Welding early aluminum heads

Your friend is correct. Actually, Ford OE heads are of much better quality of any pre-war aftermarket head/intake. If possible, I'd try welding a scrap one first to use as a test before welding the...

Re: 1932 Ford Hudson steering box

Thanks, Andy. Do you know if a Ford pitman fits on the sector? It looks like mounting pad can be modified to fit a ford frame as well.

Re: 1932 Ford Hudson steering box

I googled the same yesterday, but didn't have any luck. I'd like to see one as well. Seems like a good box to be on the hunt for.

Zerk fittings for shackles.

I've seem to have misplaced the original Zerk fittings for my early V8 shackles. I would like the original OE style and not modern ones.

I need four, but will buy more if needed.

Thanks, ...

Re: Question about 32-34 spindles

Well, just the king pins. Those bars could have been used to hang them from somewhere. If otherwise in good shape and reasonable enough I would pick them up. They will new king pins due to what...

Re: How to repair damage to a deck

If you'd like, I'd be willing to loan you a KD valve guide removal tool. Makes easy work of this tough task.

Hi David:

Thank you for the correction. Both you and other member pointed that out to me. I guess I shouldn't post until I have my morning coffee. Haha.

Re: Winfield Tool KRW Hub Puller

I have the Vintage Precision puller as well. It is an impressive tool that is machined and not cast. Well worth the price if you've ever fought with a stuck hub.

Re: Flat Head Bell Housing

Opinions may differ, but I'd go the stamp steel one. Stronger than the cast iron one and a little bit lighter. If you are using an 11" clutch though, you have to use the cast one for it will not...
