Re: Speedometer gear assembly

The washer that you picture above each spedo gear holds the shaft in. remove it.
Tap the other end and the shaft will come out. Soaking will help. Then the gear drops out of the turtle.

Re: Intermittant generator

I just went through four generators that all turned like a motor when power was applied.
The problem turned out to be the cutouts that weren't closing when the generator was working. I took the...

Re: "restored" electric wiper on e-bay

Yes. It looks to me that there is no on off switch or electrical contact post. They should be on either side of the main wiper axis. I don't think that this wiper is for a Model A. See wipers in...

Re: derust windshield frame interior

It is a windshieldframe for a 68 A and I am sure that the chrome frames were used on 68B and C while the 68A frames were painted the same color as the back deck. Mine will be Seal Brown. I think...

Re: derust windshield frame interior

Sand blasting would work only on the sides as there is a 90 degree turn to the bottom.
Phosphoric acid is interesting? Never used it. it sounds like I could just let it dry. What if it got wet...

derust windshield frame interior

How do I get rid of the rust on the inside of an original windshield frame? I have been able to take the top side off exposing the openings in the sides of the frame. This gives me an opening about...

Re: Question regarding Cabriolet 68A seat riser

It is my understanding that it is the same. because of the wood sub frame in the 68A vs. a metal sub frame in the coupe, there is some triming that is required to get a tight fit. Do you belong to...
