Probably not. I had a NOS SW Motor Minder and an empty hole. Cost, not much.



I don't see how installing a vacuum gauge can create a problem. Your other questions aren't worth my time answering...

I have a Stewart Warner Motor Minder, dial is color coded and pretty self explanatory as long as the needle is steady. If the needle is not steady a vacuum gauge can show many other issues.

Ensure the armored wire from the switch to the distributor isn't screwed in to the distributor too far, grounding out the lower plate connection. Common mistake.

Now you're confusing me. "When driving now is reads about 6 amps, when I turn on the lights it does not go any higher." Shouldn't the amps go lower when the lights are on?

I think you are correct Chris. I think I misspoke. Mine are Tacoma Cream now I think about it.

The booklet I have also shows Apple Green, which is way to bright for my liking.

Mickey, My '30 Town Sedan is Elkpointe and Kewanee Green with Straw wheels. I think it is also know as Tacoma Cream? I believe my green(s) is darker than your Copra tho if that is what you have.
