Re: Trickle charger for 1926 roadster pickup
I agree with bob p, just put a regular charger on the battery once a month, keep the cells up to the correct level and you should be OK. I charge the batteries on my cars on or about the first of...

Re: Convex mirror
Yes they will. I got used to both convex mirrors very quickly and it does help with a wider view. I used the convex replacement heads to keep a fairly stock look. On my pickup, I use a small...

Re: Convex mirror
I bought mine from Joe's Antique Auto, just the heads, bolt is in center of back and have them on both sides of the Fordor. Some may not like the idea but I find they eliminate much of the blind...

Re: Hood prop for 37 Ford pickup?
There’s a little detent on each side of the cowl that the rear edge of the hood side fits into when you lift up the side. It’s important to have the rubber corner protectors so you don’t scratch the...

Re: Affordable Ford V8's
The 1939 and 1940 Tudors and Fordors are relatively inexpensive for what you get. The 39 has that classic dash and floor shift as well as the last year for bulb headlights before Ford went to sealed...

Re: aviation gas
We use it in our small tools in the fire department just for the reason that it doesn’t deteriorate as fast as auto gas. The octane is 100 and others may comment on any effect that might have on...

Handle escutcheon installation
I suspect we've all had some difficulty trying to push the door handle or window crank escutcheon in far enough to remove and then replace the pin that holds the handle to the shaft. I have the...

Re: Loose condenser bracket
Terry,
That sounds about right. Several areas of "restoration" on this nice truck by a well known local fellow have left much to be desired.

Loose condenser bracket
A good friend of mine has had a 1937 pickup in his family since 1937. He'd had intermittent running problems for several years. The truck would start up, go for several miles and then just quit. ...
