Did you get the blockage out ? If not put a 1/16 dia drill in your drill press and
center it over the bore. Carefully start the drill on the blockage. The blockage is
of course the 4 sided brass...

HMMM, any Chevys or Oldmobiles I owned from '55 up to HEI's used vac from the carb base....below the throttle plates.....all were standard trans if that means anything.

Any Chevy /8BA...

mechanical advance adjustments. Swapping bushings is OK but the overwhelming

Hold off with anti freeze until you're sure the engine is sound. Many anti freeze products will dissolve engine bearings if it finds it's way into your oil.

V 8 Bob is seeing what I'm seeing....use the truck pumps with the ears and
wide belt pulleys. Hopefully your motor does have a wide crank pulley on it...if not they
