They do it by size, so get out your micrometer. I took the seals to them, and they measured them, and then came up with the proper seals. The biggest difference, is that they are the "loaded" seals,...

I always put a 2X4 under the front, behind the pulley. Maybe not the best, but I do acknowledge the risk of not supporting the front of the engine on a stand. Good reminder though.

That was an engine I picked up, real cheap, to tear apart and then reassemble, basically to learn on, before I bought my 53' Merc.

Rear window trim for a 1953 Mercury convertable
I am looking for the two pieces of Stainless Steel trim, that go below the rear window, on a 1953 Mercury Convertible. Mine have been sanded and polished too many times.

Since we are talking condensers here, anyone know who the manufacture of this one is. I am not familiar with the markings\symbol on the bottom. I have two of them, serving as back up.

This is a brace, for a bow, part of my convertible top. It is made out of pot metal. The weld has held beautifully, and since it is part to the convertible top it get used quite often. The pictures...

Thanks for the information, as I never considered that. I am installing a new Echlin (ECH FA76) in my 53' Merc, to see if it makeds a diffrfence.
