Re: emergency brake backing plate removal
I'm not talking about the wedge. That's something else. I mean the housing for the toggle lever that activates the brake shoe and to which the rod is attached on the outside of the backing plate.

Re: throttle control
Maybe get one of those "collars" to adjust the length of the rod between the ball on the throttle control and the ball on the carb? I'm not sure how bendable those control arms are, and you...

Re: Carb identify
The fitting from the gas line to the carburetor fuel inlet is a little different from either Zenith or Tillotson.

Re: Marvel Schebler carb pouring gas
I had that happen with a MS carb several years ago, and could never figure out what was wrong or get it to stop. I eventually just took it off, put it on a shelf, and installed a Tillotson on my...

Re: blown fuse problem
Could be lots of things, but if your wiriing is in a metal conduit make sure the conduit has not moved and is making contact inside the terminal box with the driver's side post.

Re: Differential oil leaking on on brake shoes
This is a very big and complex job. As Franklin suggests, get a shop manual. First thing, get a safe and reliable spring spreader for the rear spring. Removing and replacing the rear axle is, IMO,...

Re: Wheel Puller
As to your question, "Am I likely to need a wheel puller?" I would say, yes. Even if the hub is not stuck, you're not likely to just pull it off by hand. If it is stuck, you will wish you had the...

Re: Ricks pack
I know, I know, it's easy to make fun of Rick Packs now, but when I did my first A restoration back in the 1970s there were some other suppliers (Ernie Hemmngs in Quincy, Illinois, and Bob's Model A...

Re: Rear-end oil fill
Tom's way is the easiest. But if your heavy differential (or trans) oil didn't come in a squeezable bottle, you can buy one at Menard's, Home Depot, etc. Fill the bottle with a funnel and you're in...

Re: Spring Perch Troubles
If the nuts are that tight, I can't imagine how tight the perches must be in the axle. I've had to drill them out before, and that of course ruins them.

Re: Rear brakes.
Some people (like me) drill and tap the emergency brake shaft housing for a zerk fitting.

Will depend a little bit on type of sprayer. I believe HVLP guns use less paint.
