Re: oil return tube

You could have repaired the original oil return pipe on the inside using JB Weld. I holds up to water, oil. gasoline and antifreeze. You could have saved $40.

If you're going to add 16 inch wheels and tires to your Model A, I think that you should consider tubeless radials on stock Ford 16 inch rims. A better ride and you eliminate the tubes.

wensum: Mac's speed shop in New Zealand also sells the rear plate for the RTS transmission which is needed when you remove the tailshaft housing and shorten the mainshaft.

I suspect you have a stuck #2 intake valve. The oil in #1 could have come from the shot you gave #2 with the #1 valve still slightly open.

Depending how long ago the passages were cleaned, the area right under the brass GAV housing usually gets pretty rust impacted because of the disc and spring. I would first pull the brass GAV housing...
