Re: 1935 Coupe help

If the original serial number is indeed 18-1758782 it would indicate April 1935 I believe. As someone else said, check top of frame near the steering box.

A large factor in valuation is engine...

Re: What gears in a stock '48 F1 with 9" rearend?

Here's a good calculator to play around with gears, tire size, etc. and see where it will put you for RPM:

Re: Spare tire bracket 28-29

Can't tell for sure from you picture but think you have a 1930-31 mounting plate. Most obvious difference is the angle of the center slot.

Re: 1935 For Trunk Details

Originally Trunk and Rumble Seat vehicles were different. See Don's comments in this old thread. Also, I believe that trunk vehicles (at least some) were equipped with a wooden tool box mounted...

Re: Does anyone else have this on their truck?

Never seen one exactly like that, but my thoughts are that it's a hydraulic brake line lock. Step on the brakes then pull on the handle and it should keep the pressure in the brake lines. The...

Re: 1929 Standard Roadster

The condition of the cup and cone that the stud goes through and the ability of the wingnut to push them together sufficiently are the main factors affecting what should hold the windshield firmly in...

Re: What year is this car???

As already mentioned, there are numerous differences in almost every area of the 1928-29 verses 1930-31 year groupings. As was previously mentioned by others a couple of times I always find a...

Re: ‘29 Briggs Fordor 60C visor removal

It would seem that you've missed the point, made by Brent above, that the visor and attachment method is totally different between the 60 A/B and the Steelback 60C.

Re: Model A 1929/9 door skins

Who was the manufacturer? Walden Speed makes "full" door panels that go up to the beltline.

Re: Rear Fender ID Help

Many fenders of that era had similar mounting holes. The Chrysler/Dodge ones you've shown are not even close it appears to me. Check the inside mounting edges - perfectly straight vs significant...

Re: ‘29 Briggs Fordor 60C visor removal

Nice pictures Brent. I would have guessed that they would have used the same visor as the Leatherbacks also, but they are indeed a totally different visor assembly than the 60 A/B.

Bratton's shows the reproductions in stock for a normal price. Likely the other 2 on eBay with crazy prices are just fishing based on the $1000+ auction. But maybe not as they seem to be out of...

Many eBay sellers do this (ridiculous high price) when the item is out of stock, rather than taking the listing down and having to relist again later. When they're back in stock they change the...
