Re: DIY Pin Striping

This won’t sit well with the judging perfectionists, so don’t complain, but if you are doing your own, for your own pleasure, try a paint pen.
The good oil based ones are available in various...

Re: Storing restored model A without a garage or carport

CarCapsule.com.

I still have 2 of the original clear bubble types we used up in the ‘great white north’. A 16’ that we kept my wife’s Mustang in, and a 18’ that I extended to 8.5’h for my TT...

Re: Storing restored model A without a garage or carport

Get a CarCapsule. I have 2 of them - they will recirculate air and protect it from varmits. They are portable and can be setup or relocated easily/quickly. Considering the value of the car, they are...

Re: Rolling Chassis - Dustless vs sandblasting

Dustless blasting is a huge improvement over dry blasting. Blasting media stays localized, you don’t need to be in a full media suit, and the liquid is a rust inhibitor that extends your need to...

Re: Model A & Philco

Re: 1928 Open Cab Pick-up Wire Routing

Don’t know if this is per any judging guidelines, but on my ‘30 OCPU the harness leaves the lower frame, just goes over the axle to a tie-down block behind the axle, then into a flex conduit, to the...

Re: No Mess Radiator Flush

Re: Filler putty for aluminum intake?

Used this stuff frequently. As long as it’s clean, it will stick and doesn’t seem to be affected by engine heat.

Re: Boat Anchor

I’m sure it’s at least as warm down there as it is here already. I’d suggest you open your air/fuel adjustment a little bit more and see if it helps your setup.
If you’re driving it a lot in...

Re: Hydraulic brake balancing

Thanks for all the feedback.

Not sure what ‘good brake shop’ suggested adjusting the stationary and the middle adjusters, but ‘46-48’s only have middle adjusters.

Did find a little (DOT5)...

Brakes have been re-bled with no air found; mechanically adjusted each brake to just before drag - but it’s...

Re: Fender cover

The Snyder mat works pretty good. It has holes cut into it to go around the headlight bars and hold it in place. It also has slots marked on it that you can cut if you have fender mounted spares....
