What ever it is, it arched before. Look at the burnt part of the red wire. You need to look into this soon.

Seriously asking: Is MMO the same thing as ATF? Smells and looks the same. I put a splash of cheap ATF in all my lawnmowers a few times a season. Never had issues with these little flatheads...

Are you sure about the F-1 mounts? The Mopar ones (which look similar, but have a flatten end) are different.

Why not just bolt it to the end of the crank? A double belt pulley would need to be removed, but if you have a 99A-style single belt type of pulley should sit right on the end.

Just throwing out another option. Powerful portable chargers/batteries are available from places like Monoprice for under $10. No need to run wiring or modify your harness....
