Yes the measurements are incorrect. The distance from radiator to front mount and the method to locate the rear crossmember are wrong.
I left the front mounts and the K member loose with the engine...

The taper drives the hub. If it gets the hub gets driven by the key it usually cracks the keyway.

I have had teflon seats in my Tudor for 12 years and 27K miles. The balls need to be in good shape for any cups. I never have had to adjust mine and they steer easier.

You do not use the crass shaft. The pedal is hooked to a bell crank at the side of the box by a clevis rod. The bell crank actuates the master cylinder mounted on the box.

I have had one of these for 12 years. Bolts right in and you never have to adjust it or think about it.

The way I remove the bolts is to use an air hammer on the bottom of the perch.

There is no harm heating an axle to drop it or straighten it. It is a forging and was made by heating. Let it air cool only.

John,thanks for that interesting history. The Ford flatheads had the number on the transmission housing. Did they fit under the same rule? 32 on.

Dick, is this for your A V8? If so find the ignition wire from the switch and hook it to + side of coil. - side of coil goes to points.

Dick I would suggest a 12V coil that does not use a resistor such as a Bosch blue or NAPA coil. Much simpler. switch to coil, coil to points.

I used Motive gears in my AV8 roadster and they are excellent. They make gears for Ferrari. I have also used them in 3 Model A rear ends that I reBuilt for club members.

I do not know how a higher voltage coil affects a model A distributor. I have not tried one.

I do know that a high secondary voltage due to a hotter coil causes premature wear on rotor and cap...
