Welcome to the barn-- original heaters [H20] are around- in fact the '39 had a drain in the bottom. Our local 39-40 source in Oregon is 503-349-2012 and the h20 valve in the head is special. Newc

Hi; No- I replace the entire diffs with a 8 lug '72 and older. There are some 8 lug drums that will fit that '47 axle ['48 thru say 52?] Newc

Noticed that the Tonner rear has those odd 6 lug Ford truck rims. I have two w tires, but they are the TRUE split rims. A '72 earlier rear diff [8 lug] will fit. Newc

Re: Burned '32 PU came to new home today

Well, here is the latest on the burned '32 PU. Sand blasted the front chassis, etch primed, and epoxy black paint in two days. Lots of crawling around on the carpet pieces. Now reassembly can begin....

The Ford door hinge pins are only knurled for the top 1/4" under the cap. I have drilled out that top 1/4" and the pins generally come out- Unless they have worn a 'ledge' at the hinge joints. ...
