Re: 1953 V8 carb choices

Denny same here, been a while since talking on pm's (not that we were close friends). Mikko, Murre would be a great guy to connect with on that side of the pond. Worth a try.

What tire size? The sunliners and crestliners ran 7.00 stock. I put them on my customliner. Really looks great what you have done!

Re: 50 psi oil pressure gauge

Cold oil will give you a higher pressure pump read on the gauge. All that matters is how it reads when it is hot. No one ever has an issue with cold oil or a cool radiator on startup. Sounds normal....

Re: wheel balance

So i have to cut my tube and put beads in it, then patch it?. Guess I'm confused. May be easier to get an adapter that any tire company can use.

I see maybe how this is something with radials.

Re: '40 Brake Bleeding

The ability to arch shoes are a lost art since the 50-60s.... The machines pop up sometimes on craglist for arching shoes.

Re: Accessories for 1936 Ford V8's

In 10-20 yrs this will be considered a "classic" car by 90% of people. I'm not kidding or maybe I am.

Re: Accessories for 1936 Ford V8's

It's all really a personal opinion. Some like rubber rats hanging off the mirror. What is right or wrong is just opinion and time. Maybe rubber rats will be the next evolution of awesome from here...

Re: Accessories for 1936 Ford V8's

Still one of my fav 36 coupes granted it is a 3w and has an advantage. Wasn't a fan of the red grill.

Re: Accessories for 1936 Ford V8's

Re: Accessories for 1936 Ford V8's

Nicely done. The hanging gauges seem out of place. But that might just be the mounting system. I'd ditch the the shifter ball, Just an opinion and that is all it is.

Love the faux wood dash...

Re: wheel balance

So you run the beads inside the tire and outside the tube? That works and can be used with tubes? I am honestly asking, I don't know.

Re: Accessories for 1936 Ford V8's

It's a fine line between sleek and silly. Only a few will know, but you might recognize it when you see it.

I fly an American flag outside my house every day. I don't have kooky flags with ar's or people over them. Just a real American flag.

Re: wheel balance

I use the speedway adapter and the tapered lugs they sell now. That'll at least get you on the machine. Have one hanging on the wall. It'll get it done, you can add beads later but I run tubes soooo....
