Re: distributor swap out question

Thanks, Gary.....the slot was pretty "hogged out" when I got the distributor, and I've applied what feels like roughly 20 ft/lb of torque to break it loose thru various means, and don't have a...

Re: Cheap Gas

Those 350cc Honda's were good bikes.....would keep up with my 500cc Triumph.

And the Honda's didn't leak oil :)

Re: Cheap Gas

I remember gas at $ .19 (19 cents) a gallon in Detroit in gas wars in 1969.

But my Ram Air GTO required Sunoco 260 at 24.9 cents per gallon though :)

Re: Finding a nice Model A

So most all 1928 and 1929 cars were not originally painted black from the factory?

Re: Model A produce trucks

Thanks, WTSHNN, that big pic looks to be at least 1958 or later based on the Olds in the pic.

Not too many Model A's there by then.

I remember when I was a lil kid, around 1950, that the downtown Market Square in Knoxville, Tennessee had a long row of Model A pickups loaded with vegetable produce and maybe flowers in the truck...

Re: good spark at plugs but no Henry jiggle

In my case, I have spark when cranking the engine, but no Henry jiggle.

Is that logical?

Re: Distributor spark plug connectors

Y-Blockhead, what you said makes sense, which begs the question....is one preferable if you don't plan to show the car in a judged event. In essence, is one more durable possibly?

And...

Distributor spark plug connectors

The 1928-1929 cars apparently used a "straight" spark plug connector from the distributor to the spark plugs.

Then for the 1930-1931 cars an "offset end" type spark plug connector was used.
