I am very happy with the j.d. cornhead grease I put in last year still full. I took out one of the bolts and pumped it in with a grease gun with adapter to fit the old ford fittings until it pushed...

my opinion unless the drums are out of round I would not turn them or if real bad just cut enuf to smooth them out and leave any deep groves the shoes will wear in and work fine most places take off...

I just looked at ours like Rusty says no washers used at all on top and from what I can tell by feel underneath no washer but a large head on rivet

What I was told by my dad and uncles that worked with cars at the time in Chicago area the open cars were cheaper before and during ww2 and a lot were made into pickups then after the war kids bought...
