Re: Pressurized Radiator

This thread has filled with a lot of misinformation. The original poster asked about mounting the overflow tank, there are only a couple of responses related to that.

If you have a leaking head...

Re: Pressurized Radiator

Expand upon this. How is the original poster asking for trouble by asking how to mount the overflow tank?

I mounted my overflow tank with a custom bracket.

Re: Local Estate Auction 1935 Roadster Sells for $53,925.00

No worries. I'm a VW guy too, and have little use for a bus, regardless of the price. I do think the bus prices are way out of hand, even for the basic versions. Those are in the $10k-40k range...

Re: Local Estate Auction 1935 Roadster Sells for $53,925.00

This is quite wrong and out of touch in regards to VW's. The market for panel busses, 13 window busses, and the more plain versions being converted into the deluxe 21 and 23 window busses has...

Re: How to remove ethanol from gasoline.

Keep in mind, in some locations ethanol is a hazardous chemical and needs to be disposed of property. Even in a diluted state.

Id rather pay the extra $1 per gallon to directly fill my car. I...

Re: help me narrow down oil selection

Don't over think this. The car has been around a lot longer than you, and will probably out live you. Who knows what oil has been used in the car in the past, and it's still here.

Put in your...

Re: Towing

Leave it out of gear. No matter how secure it's tied down, you still risk movement between the car and the trailer, which can break off the teeth on the transmission gears.

Re: Unhappy with pressurised radiator

The car doesn’t care or know the difference between a pressurized and non pressurized radiator. Putting a pressurized radiator on is only exasperating an existing issue. Lots of helpful suggestions...

Be warned, even though the color names say otherwise, they are all dark green in nature. Except for black.

Re: Victoria with moveable stick shift

Yes. Put the shifter in 3rd gear, pull up with a decent effort and rotate it up against the gas tank, near the choke rod.

This can be done sitting in the garage, or going down the road.

Re: Vintage Precision Hub Puller

Those things are too ugly for my tastes. You can buy reproduction outlet necks with a threads for a temp sender cast right into them. They look correct and function perfectly.
