Re: Where to find Ethanol free gasoline in your area

In Wake Forest area of NC you can pump ethanol free gas at Fraziers Store, intersection of 96 and 98 just out of Youngsville.
The pump is on the side of the store, not out on the main island.

Re: U-haul open trailer

I used a U-Haul open trailer and a Chev PU to bring an older restored 30 tudor from DC to Raleigh and had had no problems. I did strap the doors closed and bungied the...

Re: Side mount spares - Left, Right, or Both?

I believe the PU trucks all came from the factory with a driver side side mount installed.
certainly a passenger side mount could be added by the dealer, but the passenger side mount really makes...

The silver can fuel filter may be clogged...

Re: Best 6V battery

I'll add my vote for the Optima 6v.
I've got 6 years on mine with the occasional battery tender for a few days and I get 6.5v. or better readings...plenty of juice to kick it over.
You cannot...

Re: Zenith carb

I have done several shut off valves with the Brattton kits and they worked fine.
I used fine valve lapping compound to smooth and polish the innerds before adding the kit parts.

Re: Rich Bell passed away

Richmond was a kind and knowledgeable Model A man, a real asset to the hobby.
I bought numerous parts from him in the last 10-15 years, all were exactly as described and fairly priced.
He was also...

Re: Anyone restored a E28/AR RPU?

Hans Kalinka from WI restored an early 28 RPU like this and won many awards in the 1980's - 1990's. The restoration was well covered in the MARC issues of the day. I don't have an index to...

Re: Fix or Replace

The wiring is 90 years old...it ain't going to get better.
I would replace with fresh wiring and be happy knowing my Model A isn't going to catch fire.
