Battery Box ‘28

The battery box or hanger on my ‘28 has been a disaster to the eyes, but saving up to replace it has ended in some disappointment. The new Snyder’s unit does not seem to match whatsoever. Can...

Re: Clutch Adjusting Yoke

Re: 28 oil pan question?

The pump has a screen around it and the best thing about the clean out feature on the ‘28 is you can pull the pump and screen without dropping the entire pan. No it’s not hard at all to put the pump...

Re: new distributor?

Highly recommend the new castings from Snyder’s. These come with bushings installed and reamed. Remainder of the parts are also available on Snyder’s.

Re: At a lost here

Because of the dipper tray being so challenging to remove, it’s possible to have debris in the pan going unnoticed for a very long time. You may also check the condition of the rear labyrinth seal...

The fastener threads must somehow be tight to prevent the threads from moving. Retainer compound is a very good suggestion in addition to the clips.
