Purdy....you did a yoman's job of explaining it too... It was me.. I was looking at the wrong jet and thinking it was the idle jet....My bad..not yours.

Well, they say confession is good for the soul...LOL so, here is my confession for the day. What I was looking at as the "Idle Jet" was actually the older style Zenith mixture seat.. The "New" style...

Sorry if I caused heartburn guys.... It is a "New" Zenith "air balanced" carb.. Sold by MAC's and Sniders for $450.00.. Due to problems that were not their fault, it needed to be overhauled and try...

Hi Ford3.. This is the part I was kinda trying to stay away from BUT, the engine has been out for rebuild 10 months the first time..Put back into the car and only lasted 3 hrs. Had to take it back...

OK Folks...Here's the end result.

I adjusted the linkage 1-1/2 turns out to give more distance between the throwout bearing and the fingers at higher RPM and that solved the problem completely. ...

Fordors....No, there was no way I could have adjusted them out far enough for that measurement. One reason is the aftermarket Chinese made clutch plate. It's a whole bunch thicker than an original...

Fordors....my understanding from all that I have read in the manual pages and other info found online is that all of these "wear pads" need to contact the throwout bearing at relatively the same...

OK. Lets start with Dick.. In my post of yesterday, I said I had suspected that as the RPM increases, the levers are coming out to make contact with the throwout bearing. THAT will be checked today....

After adjusting the three fingers on the release levers and getting everything back together, I got her fired up (after 7 months of sitting) and once warm, took it down...

Bruce....NO. LOL.LOL New pilot bearing is in the crank.

Ford3, unfortunately, I believe this is China junk for a clutch disc albeit new. We'll see how it goes.. I'll keep everything I own...

Well folks...I want to thank you all for the great information. As mentioned, after 3.5 hours I got it dialed in. (For now. LOL.LOL) The motor is back in the car and bolted to the trans....

Yup! It's not a quality pressure plate. It is however the correct part number for the better option but that's where it ends. This is the second PP I get from MAC's an it too was made...

Hi Ford3...thanks for the reply. It's the three release arm adjuster screws we're talking about. Supposedly, this is a "BRAND NEW" Pressure plate but all three of the adjusters on the release...
