I figured if it’s good now it seated itself.
But I’ll probably drop the pan. I wanted to see if anyone had this occur.

Ok now I understand. So I’m basically putting 6 volts to the case of the cutout.
Is that why I’m burning fuses?

I’m not sure about the cutout itself. I’m assuming it’s positive ground.

I paid a pretty penny to get these wheels here and I was panicking after reading that they may not fit.

I just picked up a set of Wheels with 4.75-5.00 19" firestone tires
for my model a. It's a 1931 Slant window with rear mounted spare.

Finally got the new distributor in the car. What a difference in power now.
My old distributor had a worn shaft and cam gear and didn't have a good snap on the lobe for opening the points and...

I removed the distributor and it has a one piece shaft.
If you move the shaft up and down, there is over an 1/8 of shaft endplay.
I believe this is the sound I'm hearing. click clacking away.

I added a quart of lucas to it. should be good. Didn't make any difference with the noise

The water pump is new-leakless type.
I replaced all fluids straight 30 weight
1/2 stp and 600 in trans and diff. Definitely loved that change.

I'm looking for a few suggestions on where to start with my engine issue.
I recently noticed a knock has developed in my engine.
At idle there is a misfire almost like a stumble every few seconds...

Ok. I don't believe the lever on the trans is cracked. Seems ok.
Clutch pressure plate adjustment sounds about right. I didn't know that was possible. Can that be done with trans in car?

It does not grind when stopped putting in gear.
I thought you had to double clutch going up and down gears?
So free play is measured from where the pedal lays at rest to were it starts to feel...
