Wonder what Ford called that panel....if you went to a Ford dealer back in the day , what did the parts book list it as??
I have no idea why its called a tulip panel....thats just the term i found...

Oldbluoval: Thanks for the info...I thought 1/4" looked a bit wide..so ill tighten it up a bit..
1/8 - 3/16 will be my target
My lid actually fits well on the sides and does not rub..
