Re: Drain valve question

Why does it have to be a permanent installation? Just stick the hose on the valve, hold it higher than the tank, open valve, check level, close valve, place finger over end of hose, remove hose,...

Re: Car Will Not Start--No Apparent Spark

Yeah, happens a lot. A person asks a question but does not follow or understand the advice. Then the thread turns into a lesson in frustration for every one.

Re: Car Will Not Start--No Apparent Spark

Altho I do have used the fiber washer in the past, I have always wondered what it's purpose is/was? Is it just used for a backing for the "wax like plug"?

I don't have that washer installed at the...

Re: Model A Tires

Really? I have Lucas tires and I have never noticed that. How long do they have to sit before the exhibit flat spots?

Re: Fuel Line, Shut-Off Valve to Firewall: Why Made Of Hard Steel?

I don't have a answer to your questions but why not use Ni-Copp for your fuel lines. Easy to form, rated for brake service.

Re: Modification to idle circuit in Zenith A and B carburetors

Thanks Jim for your reply. I certainly don't have anything to lose if it doesn't work, besides clean-up time. So I think I will give it a try. Thanks again.

Re: Modification to idle circuit in Zenith A and B carburetors

Re: Modification to idle circuit in Zenith A and B carburetors

I was going to comment on your response but decided it wasn't worth it. Instead I will post a picture of some Model A rims that were cut down to use 16" tires because they were more plentiful than...

Re: Body Lines of Model "A"

Re: Wheel interchange

Shortage of rubber, all rubber went for war effort. Not too many Jeeps and trucks with 4.75X21 tires.

They rationed gasoline not because we didn't have gas, it was to cut down on people driving...

Re: Original Owner

Running joke in our club.

Admirer of a member's car: Nice looking car.

Me in the back ground: Yes it is and he bought it new! :p:p

Re: Wheel interchange

I believe it was more that it was easier to get 16" tires during the war than 19" and 21" than it was for comfort. That is why a lot of Model A wheels were reduced in size. I just seen a set of 16"...
