Re: Rear axle nut

Re: A head on a B block

Due to the shape...

Re: Replace differential seals and gaskets

Re: 1929 CCPU Learning as I go

They make some excellent stainless steel hubcaps for those wheels, try Bob Drake. The fit 1932 through 1935 and are slightly different for the different years (I like the 1932 hubcaps, shown). They...

Re: 1931 model AA truck

Sounds like you are looking at all of the right things. Does the fuel run down from the tank and then through the pump?

Re: 'Rebuilders'? Am I tooo Picky?

I wouldn't expect them to set it back to zero unless I asked them specifically to do so.

Re: 1931 model AA truck

Titan, How do you identify a Model B engine? Any chance that the truck is actually a .32? How about some pictures?

Re: Wanted: To buy a pair of matching wisconsin license plates

When you put the ad in the "Wanted" section be sure to note that the plates must be clear to register the vehicle, if that is what you intend to do. Plates that are not clear are a lot cheaper but...

Re: 31 roadster pick-up's

I have an early (small bed) 1931 roadster pickup. The only source I have seen is the July-August 1973 issue of "Ford Life". They show 2637 domestic and 1508 foreign open cab bodies that were used...

I would think a lot of them were replaced when converting a transmission to use in an earlier car.

Re: Hanging brake pedal with original clutch pedal

I agree with you on this. One foot would have an arc going up and the other down. Must admit I have never tried it.

Re: What wheels are on this car?

I would guess that the wheels are about '40 Ford but for what I am going to say it doesn't matter. The Model A (and Ford cars through 1935) mounted the wheels at two separate levels (while later...

Re: Best choke for downdraft carb?

If the requirement is to not punch a hole in the firewall (or run it through the floorboard) you might consider one of the automatic chokes that Ford used in the fifties. Sorry I don't have enough...

Re: Consensus of opinion

When I see an alternator on a Model A it is a total turn off. I would go the EVR or adapt a later generator.

Try placing a "wanted ad". The parts you are looking for are more likely to be under someones bench instead of with a vendor.
