This type works good on both types of hubs:

An old time trick was to remove the cotter pin, loosen the axle nut about 1/2 a turn or so, reinstall the cotter pin and drive around the block.

When using the "knock off" tool one should leave the selected wheel on the ground and jack up...

Many years ago, when I didn't know any better, we used the copper clad head gaskets, no sealer, no torque wrench, just tightened them down really good and no problems.

When checking/adjusting toe-in I don't roll the car back and forth. I just push the fronts of the wheels apart as that's where they tend to go when one is going down the road.

The thread that goes into the fuel tank is 1/4" NPT (National Pipe Taper)18 TPI (threads per inch).
The thread where the fuel line attaches is 5/8"-18
A thread file can be used to clean up the male...

IIRC, Tom W recommended using toothpaste for a lapping compound on fuel shutoff valves.
