Can’t upload the picture it seems but I guess most of you know what a flathead cam looks like and it just has a G stamped on it

Flathead cam stamping

Hello!
Does anyone know what cam this is?
It’s stamped with a G and that’s all.. I purchased the engine last week and the seller didn’t know much about it, it’s a 59A and it got adjustable lifters...

Ok, I will check clearence on all bearings again and then start it up and see what happens

It is a "B" engine and dist so I can't retard the spark
It only knocks at normal speed nothing on idle or accelerating

the blades was not misshaped until one decided to go south, it must have happened att the same time I put the engine in three days ago and ispected the fan when I mounted the water pump and didn't...

Hi.. I have a scraping sound from the rear end on my 56 merc station wagon, I took the cover off today and all I can find is the spider shaft has some play in the housing.. Can this be the problem??...

You need to change the angle on the pump lever a bit, it's a simple cut, bend, weld operation. I don't remember how to post pics but if you Google the pumps you will see the differences

Volvo b20 fuel pump fits right on you just need to modify the pump lever some, sells on e-bay for about $40.. Cheaper and looks almost the same
