Forgot to mention that the vents on your 1937 battery caps were originally nipples that protruded above the cap and slipped into a rubber hose which carried the battery fumes below the engine...

Nice arrangement of Script battery parts.
The ones with the small Script and the center vent holes were introduced with the 1937 Fords, then replaced later in 1937 with caps without the vents. ...
