Tricky at best. Using Match sticks works. I have a brand new broken goose neck hanging on the garage wall as a reminder. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I have heard the pros and cons of using heat. I might purchase the tool MACs or SNYDERS Have. I have a deluxe coupe with six rims. Will get worst one and experiment.

Thanks Charlie. Have reached out to the local restoration club. Seems there was someone but as moved out of area. By the time I ship and pay invoice I could have cost of a new rim.

I use it when I have the heads off to keep the cylinder walls oiled and clean - I use it heavily during this maintenance time and never had it foul up my motors. Great stuff.

I acquired a model A engine and transmission at know charge. The serial number has been removed - seems it was machines off. What does this do to the value?

Yes that is correct. I have head off and found issue for rebuild and didn't want to re-install head. But I see my mistake - thinking I could use strap in same area as LIFT HOOKS. I think having LIFT...

Engine Removal

I read the past post referencing engine removal. Know one mentioned using "Lifting Hooks" as shown in the Model T Ford Service Book. I do not have lifting hooks -but THINK lifting straps would work...

I suggest not installing the forward motor mount until the engine is in the bay. I tried doing with the mount installed thinking it would drop in. It didn't. I removed the mount and she slid in...
