I used 30# engine oil and if you over fill it it will just throw the excess out the rear until it has the correct amount. There is no seal and it circulates the oil when running via a screw type...

If I had to guess I would say someone changed the truck to 5 on 5&1/2 bolt pattern drums and the wheels are or were narrow chrome smoothies that got painted with new caps. Tim

Along with the coil you might try a hot wire direct from the battery to the coil. There is the chance of a bad ignition switch. I was stymied by one in the past with the same symptoms. Tim

Power supply is most likely There is a little thing called an IVR (instrument voltage regulator ) on the back of the cluster . They are squareish and about one inch by one half usually with two studs...
