i had a 41 ford couple and replaced the original shocks with a NOS monroe tube shock kit i think it was a waste of time as the original gave a better ride

i have skips 3# radiator check valve ,i will send him an original coil over the winter,in the mean time i ordered bosch coil W/ internal resistor,the engine is a 59ab

my 6volt coil died had an old one as a spare and fired rite up,its the modern type what the best coil for replacement..thanks guys

i beleive its a 48 as the pump rod has no winter summer adj like a 97 that i can see,,, there should be a number on the side like 1 29/32 or 31/32

you will also need resistor type plug wires not solid core ,6v not good with pertronix , i run points in my 59ab with points no problem

sounds like the fingers on the PP are out of adjustment,you have to remove trans,i would get a clutch from fort wayne clutch and be done with it

i had a 46 ford pu with same issues drove it 4 years no problem sold it the new 0wner drove it 2 more years no problem . he bought a rebuilt engine from H&H flatheads mainly because the old engine...

use a 12v coil, i have been using 6v generators with 12v regulators for years no problem also 6v starters and solenoids, you can use 12v field coils in starters and generators from 60s fords too if...
