Re: Secondary Well zenith carb
The early dual venturi carburetors made by both Zenith and Holley did not have a removable brass secondary well and therefore no threads were in the lower half. The main and cap jets are usually in a...

Re: Milwaukee Plant
Jeff,
1. I am not certain the R was used by the Milwaukee plant.
2. If you looked at my e mail from July 12th 2015, it contained ALL R numbers I had.
3. Agree with your eye statement.

Re: Two tooth steering box spider removal
If you are filling the box with lube, it might be to much and cause a leak. There are differing amounts of lube required that have been floated around. Full is not in any of them that I recall.

Re: Tread chaser or thread size
These threads are 16 threads per inch. Snap On makes a very nice thread chasing kit that has thread files for the various pitch of threads.

Re: Rear backing plates delima
Pluck,
Some of the older reproduction adjusting wedges did not have an undercut where the threads meet the wedges. This would cause the wedge not fully retract.

In addition to drilling the upper shaft, the cam screw also needs to be drilled.
Jim, would not the rotor keep the oil from being flung around the inside of the distributor?

The wood sill where the NK number is stamped is also original to the car. There might also be a body tag on either wood sill or the firewall.
