36 V8 Pickup Radiator?
Saddly today my generator mount broke and pitched the fan into my radiator.
I have several questions.

Re: 36 PU-After market muffler?
Adam. Thanks for the walker part #. I will verify the input and output pipe diameters and order one, if it's correct, otherwise I will make a trip to NAPA.

36 PU-After market muffler?
I'm looking for a after market muffler for my 36 pick up. I don't want to pay $350, for a Ford script reproduction. Does anyone know if there is a generic one that will interface with the existing...

Does anyone know the thread size for the temperature sensor that goes into the left water pump?
I'm asking because I'm trying to see if this might be work around solution for the stock gauge....

Re: 36 pick up running boards?
Pat thanks for the suggestion. I use clear Poly tape (clear gorilla tape) on my SUP to protect the rails. I will try it, after I touch up the damaged paint.

36 pick up running boards?
Any suggestions on how to protect the paint on pickup running boards from shoe damage? I don't think there was any rubber step mat, like there is on a sedan.

Re: Calibrate & adjust oil pressure gauge
Yes I have an after market fluid style as a reference. It reads 10-15 PSI at warm-hot idle, which is about right for a 40 Lb pump.
I suspect that it's the sender as the needle goes past full...

Re: Calibrate & adjust oil pressure gauge
I have a 50lb oil pump and a 50lb sender. I have a 80lb sender in my spair parts box. It's a stock gauge (I think it's a 34 car) in a 36 pickup.

Calibrate & adjust oil pressure gauge
Does anyone know how to adjust a 36 oil pressure gauge. Mine reads high compared to my after market fluid type, which I think is probably more accurate.

Re: 165-170F and above spark issue?
Bill. Thanks. Yes I will stop messing with this issue until the Spring (when it warms up), and see if the white smoke (steam), goes away.
I guess it's telling me to get out of the shop, and go...

Re: 165-170F and above spark issue?
The more I think about this problem. I'm starting to think that it's a crack leaking water into a cylinder when it gets hot enough. Does this make sense? I'm not sure because at no time do I see any...

Re: 165-170F and above spark issue?
Thanks. Yes I was worried that opening up the advance might be a bad idea. It really didn't make it any better and I only got a few degrees (via timing light) anyway.
I'm getting it hot by putting...

Re: 165-170F and above spark issue?

Re: 165-170F and above spark issue?
Bill. Thank you for zip tie process. I will put a wad of tape on the end to ensure that it does not fall into the cylinder. That is a very good idea. If it warms up some I will try it this afternoon....

Re: 165-170F and above spark issue?
Machined a set of distributor caps (see image), and got the gaps to be about 10 thousands of an inch or less. Re-cleaned all the electrical connections.
Now it will run up to about 180F. It...

Already cleaned and checked the...
