No but I bet the sidewalls are very stiff. JMO I've got Remington's (15") that are old but still ride nice on the highway or around town (G-78 & L-78).

Probably depend on who made the f/glass fenders, I believe their thickness varies. My tudor had glass fenders, not sure who made them, but a lot of "old timers" would come up to the car at a show,...
