Re: 33 exhaust “Y” pipe

I found one overseas, from the Netherlands, by Googling the part number. Scheduled to arrive June 6.

I found and ordered one from Gaslight Auto Parts, hopefully it’s in stock.

So you don’t have the engine turned panel that the gauges fit into?

Re: Dash gauges 34 Tudor

You said you wanted to keep the cluster, so just get gauges. As stated above, 33-34 gauges mount the same.

Re: Left ignition switch on

As has been said before, if you forget to turn off the ignition you’ll probably do the same with a cutoff switch.

Re: Left ignition switch on

I did that on my 37 last year for about 15 minutes. Melted the coil but luckily nothing else damaged.

Re: Adapting a later Columbia to a 1934 axle

John Connelly would be the man to call for the correct answers. He’s great to talk to, built the unit for my ‘33.

Re: 33 oil dipstick and tube

David you ARE the best! My go-to guy. Thank you.

As far as build dates, I went by the serial number list in the good-ole 33-34 “restoration manual.”

33 oil dipstick and tube

I have two 33’s. One built in February and one in July. The later has a, as I would call it, a regular dipstick tube and dipstick. The early one has no tube and a split dipstick that you have to...

Re: 33 Fordoor windshield removal

I was hoping the process could be completed externally without messing with the headliner. The reason for doing this is it’s a deluxe where someone painted body color over the chrome.

33 Front license bracket

I’m looking for the correct front license bracket that has the curve that follows the bumper and allows the plate to be perpendicular to the front of the car. See attached picture.

33 Fordoor windshield removal

After disconnecting the hinges, does the windshield frame slide off to the driver’s or passenger side? I’m assuming it’s slides on a pin as does the top of the hood halves.

33 turn signals

What are some suggestions for front turn signal lamp locations? I’m thinking of using the cowl lamps as a turn signal only unless there’s a kit for changing the bulb socket to dual. Thanks

Re: 6volt led headlights

I bought mine from LBcarCo.com. They’re from the U.S., work great in my 33, 6V positive ground.
