Re: 1937 model 74 blowing the blues

I have some oddball (since I don’t have any 60’s) valves, if I knew the overall length maybe that’s what they are. Longer than my 21 stud mushrooms. Can have them if fit

Re: How much oil from L to notch on dipstick?

My White Construcktor 855 motor held 5 gallons, add mark was 2 quarts low. Starting out every morning I topped it off, most of 2 quarts Rotella. After a couple weeks, I let it go, and it stayed at...

Re: Help with engine Id

Re: frame repair

I have a right side rail for repair of a frame that was stored in the mud on that side. A challenge to rivet back in but… I recall it was pretty good. Since the left side has the vehicle has your ID...

Re: wide 5s

I have one like that, someone put a split rim outer rim on a center from a wide 5. Very heavy, and a crappy weld job. There should be a rim with the same ID as wide 5, junkyard shopping with a ruler....

Re: Need best way to remove diff. pinion shaft assembly

Interesting concepts, last image looks doable with little rigging. I recall I made a puller that involved a fixture under the nuts connected to small chain pushed with small bottle jack and involved...

Re: '36 221 - rebuildable??

I have been collecting bearing sets as they come up cheap for about 30 years, I can see what I have for full floating. I have 2 early motors that are not fresh so after I have saved some for that no...

Re: Re-Stamping Engine Number / Frame Number

I lived there for way too long. DMV does not want to let you get what you need, their goal is to deny. No ‘spect for any NY bureaucracy. Pennsylvania was much better, Florida I get everything done...

Re: Stromberg exterior finish question

I like clear engine paint, look good & yes will yellow but same with intakes and heads, still have character without the “chalky” look from corrosion.

Re: Remove 1 ton rear brake removal
