Re: Model A Lagging and Popping when Accelerating

It sounds like it's running lean while it's cold. Try opening the GAV another 1/4 to 1/2 turn while the engine is still warming up. You can then try closing it a little once it's warm.

Re: Radiator Recommendation

I put in a Bergs radiator about 3 years ago. No more leaks or over heating. Also, I rarely need to add any coolant.

Re: has anyone used a TS muffler on their A?????????

The 9N/2N/8N pipe is a lot smaller than a model A, even though they look similar in photos. I don't believe you'll get the flange to mate with the Model A exhaust manifold.

Re: Air Compressors and Blow Guns

I use an "automatic" compressor drain from Harbor Freight. Every time the compressor shuts off, it "blows off" a small amount of air through the tank drain. Once every couple of years I have to...

Re: Door handle removal problem

Turn the handle as if you are opening the door, but stop at 45 degrees. Then you should be able to pull the handle off. You may need to wiggle it a bit - they sometimes get rusty.

Re: and the Antique/Classic Car Award goes to..

I took a look at the Hamburg website.

I see that Sarah's picture made it to the home page.
I also see that you are the mayor. Did you mention that?

Cool!

Re: Manifold Vacuum Leak Question

It sounds like it's running lean. Have you tried opening the GAV a bit - or pulling the choke?

Re: Lighting at the dash area

As I recall, it's just one screw that attaches the light plus the wire attached to the ammeter. Once it's removed, it wouldn't leave any trace behind.

I doubt that Ford would omit them on...

Re: Model A Bypass Hose
