Smoked tires, if you remove the oil fill tube you may be able to see, or feel whatever may be inside the block, or at least determine the length of the bolt.

Keith, the same is true for aftermarket throttle return springs and soft-soled shoes. After a couple hundred miles, the throttle feels like it's coming through your shoe!

I have used something like this with good results for this purpose. Having the magnet retractable allows you to get it into position easier....

Early car-i.e. 1928-'29-check your brake light switch. If your brakes are low the repo switch will short when the pedal is depressed.

The link below shows a few examples from a '28 AA express that came from an estate. It's pretty on top and a horror show underneath. I'm not sure where to start, but if anyone has any 1928 AA brake...

I had a leak similar to eagle's when I got my cabriolet nineteen years ago. No smell or drip, just an oily discoloration at the column mount. I repaired it with silicone and haven't had any problem...

I have attempted to rebuild many shutoff valves without success, despite the straightforward process. All of them seem to leak through to the carb to some extent after rebuild. The new ones look good...

I glued the black duck material to the bottom of a piece of 1/8" marine plywood and nailed it to the wood frame, with padding and long/short grain top material over it. No one knows and it will repel...
