Re: Photos posted for Stan White

He told me he was having a really hard time and might have a hard time responding. I know that doesn't really compute with wanting to sell them, but guess it is what it is.

Re: Best Flathead books

It somewhat depends are where your interest lie. JWL's book is a good reference on performance, also Ron's. I also like these other books. I like the Chassis reference books on the CD.

Re: Battery polarity

Need to check out a few things first. Is it 6v or 12v? If 12v it is probably neg grounded. If 6v, it will take a little more checking. What type of coil does it have, as in attached to the...

Re: 1949 Merc 8CM engine

If you do not intend to reuse the valves/springs (I never do) it is a lot easier to just cut the valves, springs, etc to get them out. If the pistons are stuck to the point it is difficult to get...

Re: Is "Superior Car Parts, Inc" still in business?

To some degree it is all relative, U.S. parts cost more to produce, but in a lot of cases the quality more than offsets the price. And, balance of trade ends up costing us in the end anyway!

Re: Ignition resistors

The resistors on the 6v ignitions is a ballast resistor, which means it changes resistance as it heats up. It is more a factor of how the system is designed, you can use a "can" coil with a 6v and...
