Re: 1935-36 pedals

Re: Testing blocks in the home shop

Re: 35 hubs/drums on a 48 banjo
The other alternative would be to use the '35 drums that you have but add a spacer ring to them to allow the use of the '48 wheels. These spacer rings used to be available many years ago when people...

Re: Steering box ID
If it is an F100 steering box, the easiest way to fix the situation is to change the drag link so there is some way to adjust the length. This will require having a threaded tie rod end on at least...

Re: Slingshot vs. Tattersfield
Hot Rod Magazine did a test on a number of different manifolds a few years ago. They showed the Slingshot to give better performance than the Thickstun PM-7 / Tattersfield. (Your mileage may vary.)

Part ID please - Flathead Motor Mount

Re: finding correct head gaskets
The shape of the gasket holes do not have to match the shape of the block holes, as long as there is a good sealing surface around each hole.

Re: Identifying a 39 Tranny
Some '39 transmissions used the older synchronizer and gears. You can not use only the serial number to determine if a '39 transmission has the later gears. The only sure way is to remove the top...

Re: air filter questions...
The best approach is to take the mounting base from one of the cheap little chrome filters and use it to adapt a modern filter from another car with a similar size engine. (something in the 200 to...

Re: Barn Find 1946 Tudor.
From your pictures, the wheels appear to be 1949-50 Mercury. The stainless trim on the hood is smooth and is from a 1947 or 48 Ford. However the front fender trim is ridged which indicates 1946 or...
