Its actually a magnetic tray I just got at harbor freight! Im going to use it when I take all the old nails out of the top wood. There is a ton stuck up there!

Yes I focused on the mechanical parts first! Turned out I needed a new engine, and differential rebuild that was unexpected! My plan is to drive it this spring and summer to find any other problems...

Had Bert’s rebuild it and just got it back today. They also had to replace the center section, 1 axel, and the driveshaft besides the usual wear items.

The problem first started when moving the car back into the garage. Heard a fairly loud pop and then would not move at all.

It looks like the wear is too great on the ring gear... will rebuild it or try to find one that is in better shape. I found the guide online on how to rebuild it. Not too confident in the carrier...

This car was a basket case. Has been in the family since the 1960s and has just been a hodge podge of parts. Will be on the road soon if i can fix this!
