Re: Fake, Phony, and False

There is a reason Ryan set the classifieds up, so new accounts need to have 10 post before messages can be sent or received, unless the scammer wants to get to the 10 post rule. For first contact,...

Re: Magneto question

"most set their coils for a “hand crank start” to work best between 2 to 2-1/2 volts"
We would be talking about the 1914 and later type coils here. Coils are tuned to the range I gave. They may fire...

Re: flow testing Model A Zenith carb jets

One thing I have seen someplace is; when soldering the hole up to resize, how thick the solder is before you redrill the hole can change the rate of the flow. So if it calls for X size hole, might...

Re: Decided against Tires.....what about this idea?

When I read the title, I was expecting to see some novel idea about replacement tires, like plywood or something along those lines! LOL :) Considering the current supplier issues. "Decided against...

Re: Safety or not

I have tried that lighter thing next to the thick plate glass used in the early cars like T's, and saw two reflections. The only two self tests I would trust; edge delamanaton (bubbles between the...

Re: Model T Transmission

Unless the band material is worn, needing replacing, start by adjusting the low band. With full pressure on the pedal, you should be about 1 to 1-1/2 inches above the floor. Are you using the parking...

If the screw is not holding the cam in place that is a...

Re: TT truck year id

For the USA, the front wheels would have been 21X4.40/4.50, or maybe 30X3-1/2. The closed cab was announced in April of 1924, and remained the same through 1927, including the hood and fenders, which...

Re: 49-53 8ba main bearing caps
