Re: How Many Model A's Are There Now?
We have 65 members and over 100 cars. My guess is close to 125 cars is more accurate. But that's just club members. Lots who have cars are not in the club.

Re: Adjust speedometer from miles to km/hour
One of the guys here went to set a 1932 Convertible and found it to be a 1931 Cabriolet. There were several things odd about it and he inquired of the owner. Seems the current owner bought it in...

Re: Cleaning parts
I use diesel in a sealable tub and my wife's toothbrush while she's out shopping. I have to rinse it out really well before I put it back.

I'm at a loss as to why...

Re: My Distributor Cam Screw is Stuck
Ruth, probably doesn't need to be timed. My caution is that if you have something that you can't fix easily (and you should be able to) better fix it in the shop because it'll break on the road....

Re: My Distributor Cam Screw is Stuck
Regardless of the current condition of the timing, at some point down the road, and probably on the side of the road, that cam screw will need to be loosened. Much better to do it in your shop than...

Re: pinpointing month date-of-assembly
Us '28 and '29 owners use the number stamped on the fuel tank. My brother has an October 28 pickup with an engine from the same month. My '29 Tudor has a June date on the tank and a June date on the...

Re: Remove sludge from bottom of gas tank
The 28 pickup my brother bought had an inch of crap in the bottom of the tank. Commercial cleaning at a radiator shop and a repaint was required at a cost of $700. We wasted three weeks trying to...

Re: Bert's number not working?
What I've been seeing is I get a rapid busy, which means the trunks are full to the area. Give it a couple of tries. Getting through to Steve at Bert's is worth the wait. Thanks for all the help...

Re: Model A parts Suppliers.
The guys in the local club here generally deal with Bert's in Denver. Calling the owner, Steve, will let you know the quality of the part. Some stuff he has but won't advertise since he's not happy...
