Re: Installation cost
Gosh, I thought that would be the easiest question I've asked the barn.
I'll restate the question as advised. How many hours does it take to do these tasks?
All the old upholstery was removed...

Installation cost
If I supply the materials, what would you guys say is a reasonable installation cost for having someone install the vinyl top and upholstery on a 30 Tudor? I plan to use an LB interior kit.

Re: Fuel Flow Rate
I disconnected the fuel line going into the carburetor yesterday and found the compression fitting there was slightly twisted. It wasn't distorted enough to leak fuel, but I replaced it anyway. ...

Re: Fuel Flow Rate
Another frustrating Saturday trying to get my A to run...
Bought a new carburetor and put it on... Same behavior.
Went back through the fuel lines with a small gun barrel brush...No change....

Carburetor choices
I'm looking to bite the bullet and get another carburetor.
Is there any difference between the new units that the big vendors offer or are they all from the same supplier?
It is (hopefully)...

Re: Fuel Flow Rate
I snuck the rpm up slowly on the column and pulled the choke out about half way... RPMs increased, so I went back into the carb.
I poked a twist tie into the channels to make sure they were all...

Tried with the gas cap off - no de france.
This is a freshly rebuilt engine with new manifold and gasket. I put about 20 miles on it without much complaint before the body went into the shop.
And...

I bought a spark tester, but haven't had success with it yet as I can't keep the car running long enough to...

Re: Fuel Flow Rate
Update...
I eyeballed the fuel flow. With about 3 gallons of gas in the tank, there is about a one inch stream of gas going to the carburetor, which is basically the same as what I see when I check...

Re: Tillotson Gaskets
This helps, but I'm not sure which gasket goes in the places shown. I'll go back to my teardown and see if one seems to fit better in each location.
Thanks.
