FORD SERVICE PN is C8AZ 6223342-A. It was first serviced with the knob but later went to SERVICE DETAIL as the knob color was matched to the INTERIOR TRIM color. The knob BASIC PART NO. is 22352.

The FORD MPC ILL (FINAL ISSUE) shows the fasteners for the 58...

No, the COM uses a different case. And then you have the impossible to find 58/ FYB flex-plate issue and torque convertor change

If one is truly serious about upgrading to a true 3S the FMX...

Yes there was. The only one I ever actually saw was on a tool-board in a RYDER facility in PA somewhere when I was driving OTR. And I spent a lot of years in and around FORD dealers.

Overlooked this one -

If flushing, you would use the ATF you are going to fill it with, in this case TYPE F which is still available from FORD so you know it has not been adulterated.

IMO ... :rolleyes:

A MANUAL FLUSH is the only acceptable way to perform a full service. Do not use a flush machine as who knows when it was last serviced and what type of fluid/residues lingers...
