Re: Next step - brake lines...30 Tudor - Guidance?

Re: Misfire mystery

Re: Clutch finger adjustment

With respect to adjusting the clutch fingers through the inspection plate: There are those who claim you can do it. Me ---- I would never attempt it. It's tough enough to do with the trans removed. I...

Re: Which Headers

I've just installed the Red's tube header. It was nicely built, finished pretty well and fit great. I primed and painted it with high heat stuff and then wrapped it. Just finished a couple of weeks...

Re: Runningboard preservation question old model A hot rod

Here's what I would do.

2. Sand down as necessary and paint that section black. You ought to be able to roll on Rustoleum oil based black enamel. Mask off the red...

Re: Waterpump nut

If you can't stop the "leak" with gentle pressure on the packing nut, you may need more packing. Keep in mind that a drip once every now and then isn't a "leak".

Re: Remove Rear Fenders

Or go get another perspective. Take it to the best local body shop; tell them what you want to accomplish and get their advice.

Re: Remove Rear Fenders

I'll take one last shot at advising against this plan. Highly probable that you're going to ruin the paint in this process. You won't be at all pleased when that happens. That is, of course, unless...

Re: Quick jack lift for Model A

So what did you use for "lifting points"? And, I know that you can buy "truck extenders" from Quick Jack (I think those are the tallest available form QJ), are those the extenders that you used?

Re: Grease gun problem

You need to bleed the air out of the gun just prior to the hose. Loosen up one of the fittings on the end of the cap slowly until you can start to see grease ooze out around the threads. Don't remove...

Re: problems instaling rear brake drum

So, you have a new drum on your old hub?? Or do you have both a new drum and a new hub?? If you have a new hub, the axle shim may be required to keep the drum from rubbing/binding on the backing...

Re: Wheel spacers

I'm using spacers similar to the ones that you envision using to adapt modern wheels to Model A drums. While it's not exactly the same application, it's working well so far --- after about 1,000...

Re: just wondering-transmission
