1940 mercury coupe headlight buckets

Hello Gents and happy Friday,

I am in search of headlight buckets for my 40 Merc coupe, will the 40 Ford coupes, sedan or otherwise work? If not, any suggestions?

Smile 1940 mercury coupe spear moldings

Gentlemen and Ladies,

would the body spear moldings on a 40 ford coupe fit on a 40 Mercury coupe, based on some photo comparison it appear they are the same?

My original 39 ford was running fine with the exception of backfiring on decal, well it stopped running, I have spark, I have fuel, when squirting the carb it fire for two secs, can't keep it...

Thank Ken, don't know if you recall, a few months ago I called you regarding rebuilding of the stock air horn/carb, decided to go this 2x2 set up, I will keep you in mind for future reference.

Cool Acceleration uphill

When Accelerating uphill, my 49 stock Merc motor, cuts out. This only happens on steep inclines. Any help appreciated.

1949 Mercury flathead water pump

it appears I have antifreeze leaking from the drivers side, I assume it is the water pump, my questions are:

1. Is Ford and Mercury water pumps the same?
2. Do I rebuild or buy new?
