Re: 28, 29 vs 30,31 What do you like any why?

In my mind the 1928-29 Ford represents the best Model T.

Same for the 1932 Model B four cylinder, representing the best Model A.

Your mileage may differ.

Re: Oil Leak Troubleshooting

MGA,

Your Model A is not a Lexus.

By now you have seen how thick those gaskets are and they do require a re-tightening after the first several heat cycles (driving to operating temps) to 'slow...

Re: Birthday present

Dean,

You have my sympathies but this time next year it will be a small bump on your road of life. Fix it quickly and let your pride recover.

Maybe a good thing you weren't a witness. A fender...

Re: Engine Stalls at Stop Signs

Gene,
If you have a 'high' idle speed more likely you have an air leak some where .

Re: Engine Stalls at Stop Signs

Nice research Ed.

Could you explain how you 'set the idle mixture and idle speed to specifications?" You passed over that point quickly,

Thanks to an early mentor, Marshall Dault, with the...

Re: Original interior?

Certi,

My best guess is that the door panel & seat upholstery might be from a 1960's LeBaron Bonney kit. I had a similar seat pattern from L-B in 1966 for my 1930 Coupe.

From the location of...

Re: Hood Painting Question

Suggest to Bro to mask off those areas to prevent excessive primer build up. Just before applying top coat, mist a coat of primer one those areas. I like SEM Self- Etch primer for this.

Re: NOS paint thickness

John,

Very correct observation John, in the paint world less is always more. More primer & topcoat paint will not make the surface more durable or have a deeper shine.

Re: Early '28 Model A - possible AR?

Easiest & biggest 'AR' feature is the location of the hand brake, either in front of the shift lever or all the way over on the left cowl. Left cowl side = 'AR".

All the other features you...

If the varnished...
