Re: Mercury Motor I.D.

With respect....1941 Merc is represented as Model "19A-". 1942 Merc is represented as Model "29A-". '46 thru '48 engines are all referred-to as "59A", both Ford AND Merc. DD

Re: 1938 ford standard 60 hp motor

Guys....Here's one OPEN, and another one CLOSED. On the CLOSED petcock, notice the "left-handed" thread on the TWISTY thing. As you turn it CCW (counter-clockwise), it OPENS! DD

Re: 1938 ford standard 60 hp motor

Most automotive petcocks that I've ever opened turn CCW (counter-clockwise) to OPEN. DD

Re: Original 1932 Standard Coupe up for auction

I'm kind'a with JSeery on this. In the case of the Vicky, and from MY perverted perspective, these two similarly-equipped Vickys display (to ME) just how pleasing a tastefully-chopped specimen...

Re: 1940 Brake Drums

I've always believed what Mart says here to be factual, although the SMOOTHE drum MAY be original from another supplier, or possibly an "across-the-counter" Ford replacement. If you look inside that...

Re: 8BA Flathead crankcase breather tube
