non-stock contact points 68-11A

Can someone shed light on the contact point set up that is attached? I have seen same for 40A. What is the advantage of this setup?

distributor gaskets

The distributor diagrams from Ford does not show a gasket under the Vacuum adjusting nut nor a washer in front of the rotor. There is no part number for either. Thus, is this just an improvement...

if you look at the other specifications they are US measures, MPH, ins, lbs, sq ft., etc - nothing metric. However, the fuel capacity is 12 gal and if that is Imperial that would convert to 15 gal US...

All Ford manuals indicate the the oil capacity is 5 quarts. The attached is a data sheet from a Canadian manual that specifies 4 quarts! I compromise and put in 4 1/2!

So, Bruce, the Vac brake is only effective below 1900 because full centrifugal advance is already in. At rmps higher that 1900 for 78 and 1200 for the 11A the brake does nothing.

Thank you, I understand the why. What I don't understand is at say, 1900 rpm ,the centrifugal force has the weights all the way out on the cam, fully advanced. Now the vac is decreased with more...

140/1.3-14.7/14.7=6.32 x.05 =.31+6.32=6.63 which is less than the stock 6.75 CR
